Vascular Sonographer | Ultrasound | Sumter, SC

Day Shift | 4x10 Hours (07:00–17:30) | 13-Week Contract

This position is open to Vascular Sonographers serving a diverse patient population spanning neonates through geriatrics in both acute care and outpatient settings. Dual certification in Vascular and Echo is preferred; however, candidates with Vascular-only certification are welcome to apply. Echo-only certified candidates will not be considered.

Shift & Schedule

• Four 10-hour day shifts (07:00–17:30)
• Rotating weekends every 4th weekend
• No call required

Clinical Scope

• Perform vascular studies across all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric)
• Average daily caseload of approximately 9 studies per sonographer
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with Radiology, Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams
• Adult acute care and outpatient settings; adherence to isolation precautions/PPE protocols

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program (Associate degree minimum)
• Active national certification in Vascular (required); Echo certification a plus
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on electronic medical records experience
• Active travel experience preferred

Float Requirement

Travelers may be asked to float to other units and campuses within the health system based on census needs. Float assignments will align with demonstrated competencies.

• Orientation begins on Mondays; pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
