Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This 13-week contract (with potential extension to 91 weeks) places you on an active medical/surgical telemetry unit working nights, 18:45–07:10. The unit manages a general med/surg patient population requiring telemetry monitoring and standard acute care interventions.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:10 AM
• Every other weekend, or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Peripheral IV starts and maintenance
• Dressing changes and wound care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Standard medical/surgical skills across a general acute care population

Required Skills & Certifications

• Medical/surgical nursing experience — required
• Telemetry experience — required
• BLS — required
• Charge nurse experience — preferred

Float Requirements

• Travelers float before permanent staff
• Float areas include other medical/surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients

Dress Code

• All navy, all white, or white top with navy pants; navy or white undershirts permitted
