Night Shift PCU/MedSurg/Tele Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking two experienced nurses for a night shift PCU/MedSurg/Tele position. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, assume charge nurse duties, and grow your clinical leadership skills.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Environment
You'll care for progressive care, medical-surgical, and telemetry patients in a fast-paced setting. This position requires flexibility to float to the ED and maternal/child health units as needed to support facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and clinical assessment
- Perform charge nurse duties and support team coordination
- Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the care team
- Participate in department quarterly education sessions
Requirements
- Current RN license (Vermont)
- BLS certification required
- Experience in PCU, medical-surgical, or telemetry nursing preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage charge responsibilities
- Valid driver's license (personal transportation strongly recommended; limited public transit in the area)
