Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical nurse to join its inpatient unit. You'll deliver high-quality care using the full nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members.
Clinical Setting & Responsibilities
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 per week with potential for overtime
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Call: May be placed on occasional call during low-census periods; if called in, you must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour
- Holidays: Every-other-holiday rotation may be required
Requirements
- Current RN license
- ACLS certification required
- Experience in a similar telemetry or medical-surgical unit within the last 12 months
- Upon acceptance, you will self-study telemetry strips and complete a Basic Dysrhythmia test during your first week; passing this test is mandatory to work the unit
- Standard health screenings and vaccinations (flu, COVID-19, MMR, hepatitis B, TB, varicella, Tdap)
- Background check and education verification
