Operating Room RN — Travel Assignment | Athens, GA

Shift: Days, 3×12-hour shifts (06:30–19:00)

Schedule: Saturday, Sunday + one weekday per week

Contract Duration: 14 weeks | Start Date: November 2, 2026

About the Role

This OR position supports a busy multi-room surgical suite serving a broad patient population from pediatrics through geriatrics. The unit handles a high volume and wide variety of procedures across orthopedic, neurological, and vascular service lines — both open and endovascular.

Clinical Scope & Required Skills

• Orthopedic and neuro experience required; vascular experience strongly preferred
• Ability to circulate and perform conscious sedation monitoring
• Scrub and trauma experience preferred
• Procedures include: total joint replacement, spinal fusion, ALIF/XLIF, laminectomy/discectomy, craniotomy, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, kyphoplasty, arthroscopy, and more

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years OR experience; first-time travelers considered
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Georgia RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Trauma experience preferred

Scheduling Details

• Every other weekend; weekend call possible depending on shift
• Call requirement: approximately 6 shifts per 6-week period
• Holiday coverage expected (see standard holiday policy)
• Floating within scope of practice as needed
• Max RTO: 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
