Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care on a mixed medical-surgical/telemetry unit. You will supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and apply critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure safe, compassionate patient outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (day shift)
• 36–48 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and plan individualized nursing care using the nursing process
• Supervise and coordinate activities of various levels of nursing staff
• Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor patient progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams in a safe, healing environment
• Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate team duties

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification (approved vendor)
• Current ACLS certification (approved vendor)
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
• Strong telemetry experience required – this unit manages patients requiring cardiac monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
