Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift (6 PM – 6 AM), working 3 days per week. This is a 24-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 6 PM – 6 AM
- 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- 24-week contract
About the Role
You'll provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population in a critical access setting. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway care, patient assessment, and collaboration with the clinical team across the facility.
Location
Newport, Vermont — a small community in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border. Personal transportation is recommended, as public transit is limited. The area offers outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling.
Requirements
- Current Respiratory Therapist license (state-specific)
- BLS certification required
- Professional, reliable team player
- Ability to work independently on the night shift
Additional Information
You will be required to attend department quarterly education sessions to maintain professional development and stay current with clinical protocols.
