Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Nurse

Shift: Day, 3x12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Location: Cleveland, OH

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nurse to join the day shift team. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced unit, monitoring and managing patients with varying acuity levels while utilizing telemetry systems for cardiac monitoring.

Requirements

• 12 months of permanent Med-Surg or Telemetry experience required
• Current the facility or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director required (from work within the past 12 months; charge RN references accepted)

What to Expect

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation; acceptable scores required (two attempts maximum)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Pre-start modules and annual competency training as required by the facility
• Background check (BCI/FBI print required within 48 hours of contract signing)
• 10-panel drug screen with nicotine testing required

Contract Details

• Extension available up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter (case-by-case deferrals possible)
• Previous permanent or per diem staff at this system must observe a 1-year gap before returning
