Inpatient Renal / Med-Surg Telemetry RN — Greensboro, NC

26-Week Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00–19:30)

This inpatient renal unit cares for adults and geriatric patients managing Chronic Kidney Disease, Acute Kidney Injury, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and general medical-surgical conditions. The role requires strong telemetry skills, with on-unit and remote monitoring responsibilities.

Schedule & Coverage

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend; rotating holidays
• Float to other campus units as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers not eligible
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS required
• Telemetry experience required
• Electronic health records proficiency required
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts permitted)
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Clinical Skills Needed

• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Central line and PICC line management
• High-flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Wound care, surgical drain management, and chest tube care
• Heparin and PCA management

• Self-scheduling unit
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Third-party education verification required
• Background check: no open cases permitted
• Non-billable orientation modules average 2–4 hours
