Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Accountable Care Unit

Columbia, SC | Days | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is on an inpatient Accountable Care Unit (ACU) focused on adult and geriatric patients requiring in-hospital nursing care, monitoring, and management. The unit operates on a multidisciplinary model, with care directed by a team that may include attending physicians and supervised residents.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3×12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)
• Self-scheduling; weekend coverage required
• Pre-approved time off: up to two requests per contract

Patient Population & Scope

• Adult and geriatric medical patients, including pre- and post-surgical cases

• Interdisciplinary support includes pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, social services, phlebotomy, and more

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience (strong telemetry background essential)
• 1 year minimum experience with electronic medical records required
• Prior charge experience preferred

Float Requirement

• Agency staff are expected to float to other units and campuses based on census needs; float assignments will align with demonstrated competencies only

Orientation & Compliance

• Orientation held every Monday
• Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Module completion (up to 16 hours) is eligible for reimbursement
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Extension Policy

• Travelers may not extend beyond three consecutive 13-week contracts; conversion to staff or a minimum six-month separation is required before returning
