ICU Night Shift – 26-Week Contract

Position Details

• Specialty: ICU
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Contract duration: 26 weeks
• Start date: October 14, 2026
• Location: Des Moines, IA

Requirements

• Active nursing license with current verification
• Specialty-specific competency testing
• Standard onboarding credentials, including:
• Vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap)
• TB screening (2-Step PPD or IGRA)
• Background check, education verification, and skills checklist
• Child and adult dependent abuse training

What to Expect

You'll join the ICU team providing direct patient care on the night shift. This role involves managing acuity-appropriate patients and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team. The facility welcomes quick starts and will waive the standard 24-hour notice requirement for candidates ready to begin promptly.
