Registered Nurse – Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: New York City, NY
Shift: Days, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5 x 8 hours)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care in a long-term care setting. You'll work with a diverse resident population managing chronic conditions, post-acute recovery, and complex medical needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive resident assessments and monitor for changes in condition, escalating care as appropriate
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Manage wound care, chronic disease management, and rehabilitation support
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and the interdisciplinary team
- Document assessments, interventions, and resident responses accurately, including MDS assessments
- Educate residents and families on care plans and condition management
- Support activities of daily living in coordination with nursing assistants
- Ensure compliance with infection control, fall prevention, and skin integrity protocols
- Participate in care planning meetings and regulatory compliance initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license with primary source verification from NYSED
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of skilled nursing or long-term care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with MDS assessments and geriatric care
English proficiency (read, write, speak) required.
