ICU Registered Nurse – New York City, NY
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) providing direct care to critically ill patients in an intensive care setting.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license with primary source verification
- Associate degree (ADN) or Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
- 2+ years of conscious sedation experience
- 2+ years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN certification preferred
- Proficiency with critical care equipment: ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable drips, arterial lines, and central lines
Key Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity, critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring
- Assess, monitor, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, including vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
- Manage advanced life support equipment and hemodynamic monitors
- Collaborate with intensivists and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
- Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Educate patients and families on condition and treatment
- Follow infection control and safety protocols

Strong clinical judgment, ability to work autonomously during night shifts, and experience functioning in a fast-paced critical care environment.
