Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Englewood, CO
13-Week Contract | Days | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This fast-paced PCU is a high-acuity cardiac-focused unit managing complex stepdown patients. The unit operates with a collaborative team of RNs and patient care technicians across all shifts, supported by experienced charge RNs.
Clinical Scope
Nurses on this unit care for patients requiring close cardiac and neurological monitoring, including management of:
- Chest tubes (placement and removal)
- Pacer wires and external pacers
- Tracheostomies, BiPAP/CPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen
- Continuous IV drip therapy (heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Lasix, ketamine, dofetilide)
- 12-lead EKGs
- Foley catheters and feeding pumps
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Neuro and/or cardiac experience strongly preferred
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 16, 2026
