Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care on a busy med/surg telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and post-surgical needs.

Shift & Schedule

• Rotating 3x12-hour shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preference
• You must work at least every other holiday
• Potential to float to other units caring for similar patient populations

Requirements

• Current permanent Ohio or compact state nursing license
• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical/surgical telemetry nursing
• Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from assignments within the past 12 months)

During Orientation

You'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Passing scores on both are required to remain in the role. You'll receive a maximum of two attempts.

Additional Information

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Annual hands-on competency modules required for extended or returning travelers
• Background check and drug screen required; no open cases or license hits accepted
