Med/Surg Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility seeks a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment beginning November 13, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will work to honor your preference when possible
• Mandatory coverage: at least every other holiday
• Potential float to other units caring for similar patient populations

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct care to medical and surgical patients on telemetry monitoring. The role includes ECG rhythm assessment and medication safety oversight as core responsibilities.

Requirements

• 12 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry (or related specialty)
• Permanent Ohio or current Compact state RN license in hand at submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from an assignment within the past 12 months
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; two attempts to pass each

What to Know

• Pre-start orientation modules required (6–15 hours; 4 hours billable)
• Background check must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Contract may be extended for up to 18 months with potential for negotiated break deferrals
