Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care on a busy med/surg telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing patients across a range of acute care diagnoses. This is a rotating shift position with potential to float to other units caring for similar patient populations.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will work to honor your preference when possible
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Contract start: November 13, 2026

Requirements

• 12 months permanent RN experience in medical-surgical telemetry required
• Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from the past 12 months required

Orientation & Assessments

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; acceptable scores required
• Maximum two attempts to pass; failure to pass results in contract cancellation
• Online modules required (6–15 hours average); some billable time included

Additional Information

• Background check required; open cases are not accepted
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Candidates may extend for up to 18 months; a 6-month break is required thereafter
