Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and managing a diverse patient population. You may also float to other units to support the same patient population as operational needs require.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Shift preference will be honored when possible, but the facility reserves the right to rotate shifts based on operational needs
• You must be available to work at least every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months permanent, full-time experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Active Ohio or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (required at submission; no peer references)
• Willingness to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (passing score required)

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 91 contract weeks

• BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pre-start modules and annual competency training required
• Extensions available up to 18 months; six-month break required thereafter
