Medical-Surgical Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN for its medical-surgical unit on a 13-week contract. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Unit & Clinical Scope

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
• Assess patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and discharge planning
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately
• Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in a dynamic, high-acuity environment
• Follow Standard Precautions and infection control protocols

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification required at submission)
• Ability to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, plus holidays as needed
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting
