PCU / Stepdown — Medical-Surgical | New London, NH
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour days | Guarantee: 36 hours/week
This PCU/Stepdown role is based in New London, NH and focuses on collaborative care planning and implementation of nursing standards for intermediate-acuity medical-surgical patients. Support staff includes LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor.
Shift & Scheduling Details
- 12-hour day shifts; block scheduling is not available for this need
- Every other weekend required; holiday availability required
- Travelers must be available to work at least two of the following holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving (day + Friday + weekend), Christmas Eve through Christmas Day (+ weekend), and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day (+ weekend)
- Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted; all RTO must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after offer will not be approved
- Personal vehicle required
Required Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire RN license or multistate Compact license
- 3+ years of current Medical-Surgical experience
- 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown experience
- Charge nurse experience (required)
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Medical-Surgical and Stepdown/PCU skills checklists (within the past year)
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
