Medical-Surgical | Surgical Trauma Floor | Atlanta, GA

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3×12-hour shifts per week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Start Date: November 16, 2026

This high-acuity surgical trauma floor manages a complex patient population that includes post-surgical cases, traumatic injuries such as gunshot wounds, and patients living with quadriplegia and paraplegia. You'll work within a well-supported unit alongside nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and an overnight unit secretary, with a structured nurse handoff process between the Emergency Department and the admitting unit.

Schedule Details:

• Day shift only; assigned shifts, no block scheduling
• No requested time off (RTO) available

Patient Care:

• High-acuity surgical and trauma population requiring skilled, attentive nursing care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical or surgical trauma nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Charting system proficiency required
• Active RN license

This role is well-suited for a confident, experienced nurse comfortable managing medically complex patients in a fast-paced environment with strong multidisciplinary support.
