Medical-Surgical Nurse | Night Shift | Wichita, KS

This is a 13-week travel contract for an experienced Medical-Surgical RN in Wichita, KS, with a November 2026 start date.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week

Unit Overview

You will provide nursing care on a Med-Surg unit, managing a general acute care patient population. Candidates should be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.

Required Credentials

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Skills checklist and two professional references required at submission

Onboarding Requirements

• EKG competency exam
• Core competency assessment
• Point-of-care glucose testing proficiency
• Color vision screening
• Standard immunization documentation: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
• Respiratory fit test
• 11-panel drug screen
• Background check and employment/education verification
