Medical-Surgical Nurse – Nights | Wichita, KS
This is a night-shift travel nursing position on a Medical-Surgical unit in Wichita, KS. The role offers a 13-week contract with 4×12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
Schedule & Logistics
- 4×12-hour night shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No call required
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (48-hour guarantee per schedule)
- Float requirement: candidates must be willing to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area
Unit & Clinical Scope
The Med-Surg unit manages a general acute care patient population with a broad range of medical and surgical diagnoses. Nurses provide direct patient care across a variety of acuity levels typical of a busy inpatient medical-surgical setting.

Onboarding Requirements Include
- EKG competency exam
- Core competency assessment
- Color vision screening
- Point-of-care glucose testing certification
- Standard immunization documentation (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza)
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Respiratory fit test
- 11-panel drug screen
- Criminal background check
