Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its medical-surgical unit. This is a 90-week contract position offering 48 guaranteed hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Every other weekend
- No call required
Clinical Environment
You'll provide care to medical-surgical patients in a dynamic acute-care setting. The role may include floating to similar units on the same campus or at other facilities within Wichita, so flexibility is essential.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kansas)
- Professional references (2)
- Criminal background clearance
- Standard health requirements: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA), Fit Test, and health statement
- ACLS (must be obtained during onboarding if not current)
What to Expect
You'll work in the facility's EHR environment and wear ceil blue scrubs. Onboarding includes competency assessments, skills validation, and system training. A straightforward credentialing process ensures you're ready to hit the ground running.
