Med/Surg Nurse – Night Shift
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 days per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend; no call required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 8, 2026
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
About the Role
You'll provide care to med/surg patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role may include float assignments to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita, so flexibility and adaptability are key.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kansas)
- Nursys and license/certificate verification at time of submission
- BLS/ACLS certification (or ability to obtain during onboarding)
Onboarding Essentials
Standard facility onboarding includes core competencies, EKG exam, skills checklist, health screening (including vaccinations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB clearance, fit testing, drug screening, background check, and credentialing verification. You'll also complete orientation to the EHR system and unit-specific protocols.
What We're Looking For
A reliable, team-oriented nurse ready to deliver solid patient care on nights. Experience in med/surg or similar acute-care settings is a plus.
