Med/Surg Travel Nurse — Night Shift | Wichita, KS
This travel nursing opportunity is for an experienced Med/Surg RN joining a night shift team in Wichita, KS. The position involves caring for general medical-surgical patients across a variety of acuity levels, with a focus on skilled, attentive bedside care.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 4 x 12-hour nights
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
- Start Date: November 8, 2026
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; no call
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs
Float Requirement
Candidates must be comfortable floating to like units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.
Required Credentials (for Submission)
- Active RN license (Nursys verification)
- Completed skills checklist
- Two professional references
Onboarding Requirements
- Core competency and EKG exam completion
- Color vision assessment
- Immunization records: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
- Fit test and health statement
- Background check and drug screen (11-panel)
- Education and employment verification
Ideal Candidate
- Solid Med/Surg experience with confidence managing a general acute care patient population
- Comfortable adapting to different unit environments within the same health system
- Strong EKG recognition skills
