Medical-Surgical Nursing Position
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical unit. This is a 90-week contract position based in Wichita, Kansas, starting November 8, 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 days per week
- Every other weekend required
- No call obligations
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Responsibilities
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, managing patients across a range of conditions and acuities. You may be asked to float to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita as needed.
Required Credentials & Licenses
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Nursys registration
- Professional references (2)
Onboarding Requirements
Standard health screening and vaccinations will be required, including:
- MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- TB screening and fit testing
- 11-panel drug screen
- Background check and employment/education verification
You'll also complete facility-specific competencies including EKG exam and electronic health record training.
