Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse | Wichita, KS | Nights
This is a 13-week contract on a busy Med-Surg unit in Wichita, KS, caring for a diverse adult patient population across varying acuity levels. Candidates should be comfortable with general medical-surgical workflows, EKG interpretation, and point-of-care glucose testing.
Schedule & Hours
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (4 × 12-hour nights)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Float Requirements
Candidates must be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.
Dress Code
Ceil blue scrubs required.
Required for Submission
- Active RN license (Nursys verification)
- License/Certificate verification
- Completed skills checklist
- 2 professional references
Onboarding Requirements
- Core competency assessment and EKG exam
- Color vision screening
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza
- TB testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
- Fit test and health statement
- Background check, drug screen (11-panel), and employment/education verification
- Driver's license or state ID
