Medical-Surgical Nurse — Travel Contract | Wichita, KS

Shift: 4 x 12 Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 8, 2026

Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week

About the Role

This travel RN position is on a Medical-Surgical unit providing care to a general adult patient population across a range of acuity levels. Candidates should be comfortable with EKG interpretation and point-of-care glucose testing as part of routine clinical practice.

Float Requirement: Travelers may be asked to float to comparable Med-Surg units on the same campus or at another campus within the Wichita area.

Schedule Details

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No call required

Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required at submission)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Med-Surg experience preferred
• Current skills checklist required at submission
• Two professional references required at submission

Onboarding Includes:

• Core competency and EKG assessments
• Color vision screening
• Standard immunization documentation (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, TB testing)
• Background check and 11-panel drug screen
• Valid driver's license or state ID

This is a strong long-term contract for an experienced Med-Surg nurse looking for stable night-shift placement in south-central Kansas.
