Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
Join the facility's Medical-Surgical unit for a 90-week contract assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population across varying acuity levels.
Schedule & Logistics
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Hours: 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Days Off: Every other weekend; no on-call requirement
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs
- Float Requirement: You may be assigned to similar units on the same campus or alternate campuses within Wichita as needed
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- EKG certification (onboarding exam provided)
- BLS/ACLS or equivalent
What to Expect During Onboarding
Standard pre-employment screening includes health history (vaccinations, TB testing, drug screen), background check, skills validation, and orientation to the facility's charting system. Plan for 1–2 weeks of structured onboarding before independent practice.
