Medical-Surgical Nurse — Travel Contract | Wichita, KS
This 13-week travel assignment places you in a Medical-Surgical unit in Wichita, KS, caring for a general acute care patient population across day shift hours.
Schedule & Hours
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (4 x 12-hour days)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligations
- Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
Unit Details
- General Medical-Surgical acuity
- Candidates should be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or at another campus within the Wichita area
- Scrub color: Ceil blue

- Active RN license (Nursys verification)

Onboarding Requirements
- Core competency and EKG assessments
- Point-of-care glucose testing competency (StatStrip)
- Color vision assessment
- Immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
- Respiratory fit test
- Health statement
- Criminal background check and exclusion screening
- Employment and education verification
