Medical-Surgical Nursing
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its medical-surgical unit. This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, four 12-hour days per week
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- On-Call: None
- Float: You may be assigned to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within Wichita as needed.
Clinical Details
You'll deliver care to medical-surgical patients across a range of conditions and acuity levels. The role involves standard bedside nursing, patient monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Kansas)
- Nursys verification and license/certificate verification required for submission
- Current immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap)
- Two-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
- Professional references and skills checklist
Onboarding
You'll complete standard facility requirements including core competencies, EKG exam, education attestation, background check, and drug screening.
Contract Terms
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
- 90-week contract (note: position start date is November 8, 2026)
