ICU Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a night shift role in a multi-service intensive care unit. This is a 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours weekly.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• Floating: Required to other ICU units as needed (excludes Behavioral and ER unless holding patients)
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Unit & Patient Population

You'll care for high-acuity patients across multiple specialty areas:

• Neuro/Medical ICU: Stroke, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro-interventional cases (TCAR), respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI
• Cardiothoracic ICU: Cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, AAA repair
• Surgical/Trauma ICU: Trauma and major post-operative patients

Clinical Requirements

• 2+ years ICU experience (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU required)
• 4–5 years preferred
• Demonstrated travel nursing experience
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active NY RN license (all active licenses must be verified)
• Proficiency with CRRT and Prismaflex
• Experience with IABP, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and therapeutic temperature management

Preferred Qualifications

Cardiac/heart experience is highly valued by the clinical team.
