ICU Travel Nurse Position
Position Overview
Join the ICU team as a travel nurse providing direct patient care and clinical expertise to a diverse patient population. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team managing high-acuity patients across the unit.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Structure: Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Float Requirements: Required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- On Call: 10–12 days per month at $9/hour (2-hour minimum for callbacks)
- Weekends: Shared weekend coverage among team members
- Holidays: Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). Limited to one day off request during 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27.
Orientation Dates
October 12 or October 26, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Active RN license: Iowa or compact state
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
- Supervisory reference form from within the last 2 years
- Valid driver's license
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
