Registered Nurse – Endoscopy
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN to join its endoscopy team supporting bronchoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) procedures. You will monitor patients during procedures, manage post-sedation recovery, and ensure safe discharge with clear follow-up instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing changes in physiological and psychological status
- Manage post-sedation recovery and assess for procedure-related complications
- Set up and maintain all equipment and supplies for GI procedures
- Assist physicians and advanced providers during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Implement minimal/moderate sedation protocols with thorough pre- and post-assessments
- Interpret diagnostic measures including lab results, radiology exams, and EKGs
- Provide professional nursing judgment in implementing care plans and resolving patient issues
- Practice infection control and demonstrate competency in endoscope handling
Requirements
- Current RN license in state of practice
- At least 1 year of recent GI or endoscopy experience (2+ years preferred)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Schedule: Rotating shifts
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
