ICU

ICU / Stepdown Float RN — Laconia, NH

13-Week Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

This position is ideal for an experienced ICU nurse who is comfortable floating across multiple units in an acute care setting. The facility is seeking a confident, independent clinician who can move fluidly between the ICU and Stepdown environments as patient census demands.

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekdays with every other weekend required
• 36-hour weekly guarantee

Float Scope

• Primary float: ICU and Stepdown
• Additional float potential: ED (full department, not ICU holds only), Med/Surg with modified assignment
• May also float to the Behavioral Health unit (training provided)

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of ICU experience; candidates closer to 2 years must demonstrate strong autonomy and adaptability
• Proficiency with high-acuity equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, targeted temperature management, and rapid infusers
• Experience in a variety of care settings strongly preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Skills checklist matching ICU and/or Stepdown specialty required

Preferred Background

• Experience across both ICU and Stepdown specialties
• Comfort working independently in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
