Medical-Surgical RN – Ortho Trauma & General Surgery

Shift & Contract

Night shift: 4x12 hours (18:45–07:15)

26-week contract

Every other weekend required; no call

About the Unit

Your Role

• Provide direct patient care including wound management, drain care, chest tube management, central line care, and tracheostomy care
• Manage heparin drips, PCA pumps, and pre/post-operative patients
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
• Participate in unit-based response teams during emergency or disaster situations

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience with ortho, neuro, or trauma background
• Charge experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Orientation

12 hours unit-based; 16 hours organizational education

Navy or white

Note

Up to 7 days pre-approved time off available (no holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. All additional requests must be approved before signing; no requests allowed after contract begins.
