CVICU/CTICU Registered Nurse – 12-Hour Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility's Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic ICU is seeking an experienced RN to join the team on a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct care to critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients, including those recovering from open-heart surgery on post-op day zero.
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM
- Frequency: 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification
- Proficiency with electronic charting systems
- Current flu vaccination (no exemptions)
Clinical Focus
You'll manage high-acuity post-operative cardiac patients, monitor hemodynamics, assist with intra-aortic balloon pumps and mechanical support devices, and respond quickly to clinical changes. Experience with fresh open-heart cases on post-op day zero is essential.
