Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for night shift work. You'll provide direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and managing the care needs of a diverse patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry (within the past 12 months preferred)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• Permanent Ohio license OR compact state license in hand at time of application
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director (from assignments within the past 12 months)
• Willing to complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety testing (maximum 2 attempts to pass)

What to Expect

You'll care for telemetry patients in a unit-based setting, utilizing standard charting systems and protocols. Orientation will include facility-specific modules (6–15 hours average) and competency assessments conducted during your onboarding.

Additional Notes

• Background check required; no open cases or license hits accepted
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Nicotine screening required
• Contract extensions available up to 18 months, followed by a required 6-month break
