Night Shift Orthopedic Nursing — 16-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its orthopedic unit on a 16-week night shift assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical and medical environment, supporting post-operative orthopedic patients and acute medical-surgical cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week (flexible options)
• 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other week
• Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
• No block scheduling; schedule flexibility required based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• 2 years recent acute medical-surgical, telemetry, neurology, and orthopedic nursing experience
• 2 years of U.S. work experience (required for non-U.S. candidates)
• BLS certification (NIH/AHA)
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is requested but not required; training provided if needed
• You'll use the facility's electronic charting system
• This role demands flexibility and adaptability to meet daily operational needs
