Night Shift Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse
The Opportunity
Join the facility's medical-surgical/telemetry complex care unit for a 16-week night shift assignment. You'll work 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with 36 or 48 hours per week available. This unit provides care to patients across a range of acute medical and surgical conditions, including telemetry monitoring.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care in a med/surg/tele environment
- Monitor and respond to telemetry findings
- Float to other units as needed
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities (charge experience requested but not required; training provided if needed)
- Work at least one holiday during your contract
What We're Looking For
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years acute hospital experience
- At least 1 recent year in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- 2 years U.S. work history (required for international candidates)
- Flexibility with scheduling
- Willingness to float and take charge when needed
- Residency requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Schedule
- Nights: 7 PM – 7 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Weekend commitment: 1 per week or 2 every other weekend
- Block booking may be available but is not guaranteed
- 112 guaranteed contract hours over 16 weeks
