Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Registered Nurse | Nights | Rochester, NY

This 13-week contract places you on a progressive care unit working night shifts, 7 PM–7 AM, 36 hours per week. The unit manages intermediate-to-high-acuity patients requiring close cardiac monitoring and respiratory support.

Shift Details

• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other week
• At least 1 holiday shift required during the contract
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute PCU and med/surg telemetry experience
• Proficiency with cardiac drips, mechanical ventilators, and acute BiPAP
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Additional Details

• Non-U.S. candidates must have at least 2 years of U.S. clinical work experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
• Must be flexible to accommodate scheduling needs
