Registered Nurse – Orthopedics

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its orthopedic unit. This is a 16-week contract position based in Rochester, NY.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) on a rotating schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other week
• At least 1 holiday shift required during the contract
• No block scheduling; schedule flexibility required

Clinical Scope

You will provide care to orthopedic patients in an acute medical-surgical setting. Experience with telemetry monitoring, post-operative orthopedic patients, and neurological assessment is expected. You may float to other units as needed and should be comfortable functioning as charge nurse when required.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• AHA BLS and NIH certifications
• 2+ years recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience with orthopedic and neurological care
• 2+ years U.S. work experience (required for international candidates)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• 112 guaranteed contract hours
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to facility scheduling needs are essential
• Training provided as needed
