Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP)
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN to join its Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit. You'll provide comprehensive, continuity-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stay—all within one unified care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed maternal and fetal assessments; interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and contraction patterns, escalating changes promptly
- Administer labor medications (induction/augmentation agents) and support epidural management per physician orders
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide immediate postpartum/post-C-section recovery care
- Deliver couplet care: perform maternal postpartum assessments and newborn assessments
- Manage high-risk obstetric and postpartum conditions with appropriate emergency interventions
- Support breastfeeding initiation, infant care education, and maternal-newborn bonding
- Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and pediatric teams on individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Provide continuity of care as the consistent nurse throughout each patient's hospital stay
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (state or compact license)
- ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- 1+ years of L&D/LDRP nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification

- Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Duration: 13 weeks
