Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / LDRP
Location: Richmond, KY
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility's Labor & Delivery / LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit seeks an experienced RN to provide comprehensive, continuous nursing care to mothers and newborns across the full childbirth continuum—all in one room. You will remain with your patient from labor admission through postpartum recovery, delivering personalized, evidence-based care centered on the patient and family.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and uterine contraction patterns; escalate concerns promptly
- Administer labor medications, including induction/augmentation agents and epidural support, per physician orders
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide immediate post-delivery recovery care
- Perform comprehensive maternal and newborn assessments as part of integrated couplet care
- Recognize and respond to high-risk OB and postpartum conditions with appropriate interventions
- Support breastfeeding, infant care education, and maternal-newborn bonding
- Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and pediatric teams
- Document labor, delivery, and postpartum care accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (state or compact)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- ADN or ASN minimum; BSN preferred
- 1+ years of L&D / LDRP nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
