Oncology RN – Night Shift | La Jolla, CA | 13-Week Travel Contract
Join an oncology unit in La Jolla, CA, providing specialized care to patients receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments. This is a night shift position on a 13-week travel contract.
Shift Details
- Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (California license in hand at time of submittal — Temp or Perm accepted; no EMSA)
- BLS (AHA only)
- ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of concurrent oncology experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- Prior experience with electronic health records required (last 6 months of work history)
Additional Requirements
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
- 1 supervisory-level reference required
- California RN license verification (Nursys) required at submission
- Maximum 7 days RTO; no new RTO requests after submittal
- Interview availability required (same day or within 3 business days preferred)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Float & Schedule Expectations
- May be asked to float to another campus or location based on unit needs
- Non-billable online modules (8 hours) must be completed by the Friday following assignment
This role is well-suited for an experienced oncology travel nurse comfortable with high-acuity cancer patients and systemic treatment protocols.
