Night Shift RN – Emergency Department

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN for night shifts in a busy emergency department. You'll work 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a high-acuity setting managing diverse patient populations across all age groups.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Length: 14 weeks
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Float: Within facility and scope of practice as needed

Clinical Scope

The emergency department provides:

• Primary stroke center services
• Trauma care (Level 3 in process)
• Cardiac services including STEMI, chest pain, and CHF management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Care of ventilated patients
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• of neonates through geriatric patients

Qualifications Required

• Minimum Experience: 2 years as an RN (first-time travelers welcome)
• License: Georgia or Compact license required at submission
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI
• Skills: Ventilated patient care, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, procedural sedation

Key Details

• Orientation: Non-billable hours factored into contract
• Time Off: Maximum 7 days RTO (must be finalized at time of submission; no requests during orientation week)
• Compliance: All documents due Tuesday prior to start; full compliance required for on-time start
• Holiday Coverage: If one major holiday falls in your assignment, you work it. If two fall, you work both. If three fall, you work two.
