Night Shift RN – Emergency Department

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for night shift coverage. You'll work in a high-acuity environment managing diverse patient populations across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour nights: 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend
• No call
• 20-week contract
• Float within scope of practice as needed

Clinical Scope

This is a busy ED managing:

• Level 3 trauma cases
• Primary stroke patients
• Acute coronary syndromes (STEMI, chest pain)
• Heart failure exacerbations
• Ventilated patients requiring continuous sedation and dysrhythmia management

You'll work with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, and social services.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active GA or Compact RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
• Skills: Ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management,
