Cardiac Surgical Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgical Technologist for the open heart operating room. You'll support complex cardiac surgical cases in a fast-paced, specialized environment where precision and teamwork are essential.

Schedule & Contract

• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• 6 days of call per month
• Holiday coverage required: 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 of 3 minor holidays (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent, direct experience as a Cardiac Surgical Technologist
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Surgical Technology certification (NBSTA or NCCT) preferred

Clinical Scope

You'll prepare instruments and equipment, pass supplies during open-heart procedures, maintain the sterile field, and assist the surgical team in a high-acuity cardiac surgical setting. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of cardiac instrumentation, and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs are essential.
