Progressive Care Unit — Night Shift

Position Overview

Join the progressive care unit for a 13-week night assignment. You'll provide care for acute medical-surgical and telemetry patients on the 7 PM–7 AM shift.

Shift Details

• 12-hour nights: 7 PM–7 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 1 weekend shift per week OR 2 weekend shifts every other week
• At least 1 holiday per contract
• Block scheduling available upon request (not guaranteed)

Clinical Scope

This unit manages acute patients requiring cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic support, and critical interventions. You'll work with cardiac drips, ventilators, and acute BiPAP therapy. Charge nurse duties may be requested but are not required. Float pool coverage to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• 2+ years recent acute PCU and medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• 2+ years U.S. work experience (required for international-trained RNs)
• Recent hands-on experience with cardiac drips, ventilators, and BiPAP
• Flexibility to accommodate facility scheduling needs
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
